Description

Description

Inspired by the koteka traditionally worn by tribesmen in the highlands of New Guinea, West Papua and Papua New Guinea.

Construction: The elaborate design is formed with a copper spiral 🌀 then decorated with hemp rope and pearls. It is secured with hemp ties around the waist and between the legs.

Symbolism: Copper is known to conduct energy that clears negativity and balances the chakras. Copper represents Venus, both the planet and the Roman goddess whose functions encompassed love, beauty, fertility, prosperity and desire. Hemp is associated with heart health. Hemp rope is eco-friendly and is extremely strong and durable. Pearls, like hemp are associated with heart health. They also benefit digestion, eye sight and skin radiance. They are exceptional at absorbing negative energy and clearing auras. Pearls stand for wisdom, enlightenment, protection and longevity.
